“Over 5400 children were killed or injured in car crashes in 2009. Don’t let your child become a statistic.”

According to figures supplied by local authority road safety officers around the country, 66% of car seats are fitted wrong. That’s two thirds of all car seats. 

Problems included:

• seatbelts routed wrongly
• car seat not fitted properly
• harnesses that were too high or too loose
• incorrect stage of seat for the child
• car seat too old to be used
• some were even condemned by the council’s road safety officers

Don’t you think it’s about time a baby shop went that extra mile? We do. And that’s why we’re doing just that.

Not enough parents are made aware of the risks of an ill-fitted car seat and it is shocking how many children are travelling in the wrong car seat… or no car seat at all.

We are offering everybody who visits our showroom a free car seat safety check, because too many people are not being shown how to fit their car seats safely or even being sold a car seat without it being tested.

iCandy have invited their retailers to go head-to-head in a ‘window dressing competition’ – the theme is obviously iCandy!

We decided to design our window display based on the theme of the carnival… after all, what better place to enjoy candy than whilst listening to the enchanting sound of the carousel and playing on the rides while everything is bathed in the bright lights of the funfair!

We painted an eight-foot high “Cherry-Go-Round” on the wall and made an “iCandyFloss Stall” especially for the scrummy Peach to take pride of place. We even made our own candyfloss – but it shrank and had to be replaced by cotton wool! Not to mention lots of real lollypops, candy canes and sweets scattered about… just because!

We very much hope our efforts win us the prize… but why not pop in and see for yourself? We may even give you a sweetie!
